As a SEND Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and innovative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs in a personalised learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individual learning plans
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Monitor and record student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff
- Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support for students
- Participate in staff training and development opportunities
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of inclusive teaching strategies
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
- Experience in a school or educational setting
Preferred
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and practices
- Experience with behaviour management techniques
- Understanding of the curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Experience with assistive technology or learning support tools
- A passion for education and student success
