As a SEND Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in a personalised learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individual learning plans
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support for students
  • Participate in staff training and development opportunities
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
  • Experience in a school or educational setting

Preferred

  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and practices
  • Experience with behaviour management techniques
  • Understanding of the curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Experience with assistive technology or learning support tools
  • A passion for education and student success
