The Opportunity:
As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering individualised learning experiences to children with a range of additional needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 teaching in a variety of settings, including schools, community spaces, and home environments.
- Develop and implement tailored learning plans aligned with individual EHCP targets.
- Support students in self-regulating emotions and managing behaviour using positive strategies.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and the wider team.
- Adapt the curriculum creatively to meet the unique needs and interests of each child.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and welfare standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with families and report progress regularly.
- Work flexibly with a range of schedules and locations across Wiltshire.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English, Maths, and Science at KS1, KS2, KS3, and GCSE/Functional Skills level
- Valid Enhanced DBS check for working with children
- Availability for face-to-face tuition in Wiltshire
- Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and positive behaviour strategies
- Experience working with vulnerable young people with a range of communication styles
- Willingness to commit to long-term educational journeys with students
- Experience with self-employment or freelance teaching
