The Opportunity:

As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering individualised learning experiences to children with a range of additional needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 teaching in a variety of settings, including schools, community spaces, and home environments.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans aligned with individual EHCP targets.
  • Support students in self-regulating emotions and managing behaviour using positive strategies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and the wider team.
  • Adapt the curriculum creatively to meet the unique needs and interests of each child.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and welfare standards at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with families and report progress regularly.
  • Work flexibly with a range of schedules and locations across Wiltshire.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching English, Maths, and Science at KS1, KS2, KS3, and GCSE/Functional Skills level
  • Valid Enhanced DBS check for working with children
  • Availability for face-to-face tuition in Wiltshire
  • Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and positive behaviour strategies
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people with a range of communication styles
  • Willingness to commit to long-term educational journeys with students
  • Experience with self-employment or freelance teaching
