The Opportunity:
As a SEND Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching and learning, leading a class team to meet the educational, pastoral, and therapeutic needs of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the school curriculum and individual learning plans
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the strengths and needs of each pupil
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress using a range of assessment strategies
- Lead Annual Reviews and contribute to multi-agency meetings
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of school policies and practices
- Work collaboratively with the transdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes for all pupils
- Promote the safety, wellbeing, and welfare of all pupils
- Keep up to date with developments in special education and educational practice
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A qualified teacher with a strong commitment to SEND education
- Experience in delivering education to students with special educational needs
- Ability to implement the Conductive Education approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience working with students with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC)
- Experience with multi-agency collaboration
- Experience in planning and delivering holistic learning strategies
- Experience with annual reviews and multi-agency meetings
