The Opportunity:

As a SEND Teacher, you will be instrumental in supporting students with diverse needs in English and Maths, ensuring they access and progress within the curriculum. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons in English and Maths tailored to the needs of SEND students.
  • Work closely with other staff, parents, and external professionals to support student progress and well-being.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track student outcomes effectively.
  • Participate in whole-school initiatives and cross-Trust activities that promote inclusion and academic excellence.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, ensuring their emotional and social needs are met.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in SEND education and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to the development of the school’s SEND strategy.
  • Attend meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant SEND experience.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Experience in delivering curriculum subjects, particularly English and Maths.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Knowledge of assessment and intervention strategies for students with a range of needs.
  • Experience with behaviour management and positive learning environments.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and other SEND support tools.
