As a Senior Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping the vision, strategy, and delivery of academic and pastoral outcomes for key stage 3. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance academic achievement, behaviour, and pastoral care.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher to maintain and strengthen the school’s outstanding reputation for pastoral care.
  • Lead and support the development of student voice and engagement across the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver whole school celebrations, rewards, and events.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives and strategies on student outcomes.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Support the development of staff and build strong, collaborative relationships with students and families.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the school in line with the School Development Plan.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role.
  • Strong strategic planning and implementation skills.
  • Experience in managing and developing key stage 3 provision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading student voice initiatives.
  • Background in pastoral care and behaviour management.
  • Experience in working within an academy or multi-academy trust.
  • Familiarity with school improvement and development planning.
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and engagement.
