Senior Attendance Officer – Family Outreach Worker for term time only, 37 hours per week.

The Opportunity:
As a Senior Attendance Officer – Family Outreach Worker, you will play a key role in supporting student attendance and working closely with families to improve outcomes. This is a vital role in ensuring students can fully benefit from their education and reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance and engagement.
- Work closely with students, parents, and carers to address attendance barriers and support improvement.
- Monitor, record, and evaluate attendance data to identify trends and inform targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers and senior leaders to ensure attendance policies are effectively applied.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team on attendance performance.
- Support students through personalized outreach and engagement activities.
- Liaise with external agencies where necessary to support student and family needs.
- Contribute to the school’s ongoing transformation and improvement journey.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in education or social care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with students and families.
- Knowledge of attendance policies and procedures in schools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in managing data and producing reports.
Preferred
- Experience in working with vulnerable students or families.
- Understanding of child development and welfare.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Familiarity with educational partnerships and multi-agency working.
