As a Senior ICT Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-class IT services to staff and students, supporting the school’s strategic goals in IT operations, innovation, and cyber security. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality IT services across the school, ensuring systems are reliable and up to date.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s RLT strategy across five key strands, including IT operations and innovation.
  • Ensure the IT environment is secure, compliant, and aligned with the school’s vision for digital learning.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff and students, promoting the effective use of technology.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain a robust IT infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in education and IT.
  • Manage and maintain all IT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the school’s IT services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior ICT or IT support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Experience in managing and supporting IT services across a school environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with cyber security and IT governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing IT projects and leading a team.
  • Awareness of current trends in educational technology and digital innovation.
