The Opportunity:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and support the delivery of strategic projects, including the development of new sixth form free schools and academy conversions. This is a pivotal role in shaping high-profile education initiatives that will raise standards and improve opportunities for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of strategic projects, including new school openings and academy conversions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans covering all phases of project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the Trust, local authorities, and the Department for Education.
- Provide strategic oversight and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Monitor and manage risks, ensuring timely identification and resolution of potential issues.
- Support the establishment of new sixth form colleges and ensure alignment with the school’s mission and values.
- Communicate effectively with senior leaders, operational teams, and external partners.
- Drive progress in fast-moving environments and ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in delivering complex projects, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong strategic and operational project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and provide evidence-based reporting.
- Willingness to travel across England where required.
Preferred
- Experience in school development, academy conversions, or similar educational initiatives.
- Knowledge of the UK education system and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with multi-academy trusts or similar educational organizations.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
