The Opportunity:

As a Senior School Spanish Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality language instruction across multiple levels, including IBDP, iGCSE, and Key Stage 3. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a school that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish B and Spanish ab Initio at IBDP level
  • Deliver Spanish lessons at iGCSE and Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9)
  • Support language development at Upper Primary levels (Years 5–6) if required
  • Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and fluency
  • Implement teaching strategies based on comprehensible input and best practices in language education
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student learning outcomes
  • Participate in pastoral duties such as form tutoring or leading trips when necessary
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering global citizenship and a culture of respect and integrity

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification from the UK or a Commonwealth country
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience
  • Experience in a British-style education setting
  • Experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme or A Levels

Preferred

  • Understanding of high-quality Global Citizenship Education
  • Experience teaching in multiple schools
  • Creative use of technology in teaching
  • Experience as a form tutor or homeroom teacher
  • Ability to teach a second language (French or Mandarin) at Upper Primary or Key Stage 3
