The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Science Teacher to deliver engaging and impactful Biology lessons to students in Years 8 to 11. This role plays a key part in shaping students' academic and personal development within a supportive and innovative learning community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach science from Year 8 to Year 11, following the Cambridge International Curriculum.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in IGCSE/GCSE Biology, preparing students for their exams.
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans that combine practical and theoretical learning.
  • Encourage curiosity and a deep understanding of scientific concepts and skills.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students and support their academic success.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with the science department to enhance curriculum delivery and teaching strategies.
  • Promote student participation in science-related events and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A current TIE holder or a passport holder from an EU country.
  • Native English speaker or certified at C2 level (CEFR).
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience in secondary science education.
  • Proven experience teaching IGCSE/GCSE Biology or other science subjects within the Cambridge International Curriculum.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, with the ability to teach both theoretical and practical aspects.

Preferred

  • Willingness to lead and coordinate international trips and exchanges.
  • Experience in organizing educational and personal development activities for students.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and collaboration.
