The Opportunity:

As a Site Manager, you will ensure the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained, creating a positive environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to provide an inspiring and supportive learning experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the school site, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate with staff and external contractors to address maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies to protect students, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor and manage the use of school buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Support the school’s pastoral care by maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Liaise with senior leadership to ensure the school site aligns with the institution’s vision and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for school operations.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and maintenance issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a multi-site or large school environment.
  • Familiarity with school operations, including building maintenance and event management.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Understanding of educational policies and procedures.
