The Opportunity:

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the school site is a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role plays a key part in maintaining the school's infrastructure and managing the site team and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the school site.
  • Supervise and lead the site team, ensuring all maintenance and operational tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors for building and grounds maintenance.
  • Ensure the school site is maintained to a high standard, promoting a welcoming and secure environment.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the school’s estate and facilities.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies across the site.
  • Liaise with senior staff and other departments to support the school’s operational needs.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of buildings and grounds regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in site management or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and external contractors.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and facilities management.
  • Experience with school operations and infrastructure development.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • 37 hours per week, all year round.
  • 31 days' holiday (21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and two additional days during Christmas closure).
