The Opportunity:
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the school site is a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role plays a key part in maintaining the school's infrastructure and managing the site team and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the school site.
- Supervise and lead the site team, ensuring all maintenance and operational tasks are completed efficiently.
- Coordinate and manage external contractors for building and grounds maintenance.
- Ensure the school site is maintained to a high standard, promoting a welcoming and secure environment.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the school’s estate and facilities.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies across the site.
- Liaise with senior staff and other departments to support the school’s operational needs.
- Monitor and report on the condition of buildings and grounds regularly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in site management or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Experience in managing teams and external contractors.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in an educational setting or similar environment.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and facilities management.
- Experience with school operations and infrastructure development.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Compensation & Benefits:
- 37 hours per week, all year round.
- 31 days' holiday (21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and two additional days during Christmas closure).
