The Opportunity:

As a Site Services Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of school facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the school’s standards and supporting the delivery of high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of school buildings, ensuring they meet required standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of heating and fire systems to support a safe and comfortable learning environment.
  • Plan and prioritise daily tasks and workload for self and site team members with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to address maintenance and operational issues promptly.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of school premises and surrounding areas.
  • Support the school in creating a positive and safe environment that aligns with the school’s values of Empower, Respect, and Aspire.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team in a school or educational setting.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative without direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with building maintenance systems, including heating and fire safety.
  • Understanding of the values of Empower, Respect, and Aspire.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming learning environment.
