The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to ensure the school buildings are secure, tidy, and in excellent condition. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Site Supervisor will work closely with the school community to uphold high standards and ensure the school grounds are a positive and functional space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the school buildings and grounds are secure, tidy, and fit for purpose at all times.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards in line with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out maintenance and remedial actions to keep the school environment safe and functional.
- Work in collaboration with staff and external contractors to maintain and improve school facilities.
- Support the school during term time and additional hours during Easter and Summer breaks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and safety checks.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of school events and activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Preferred
- Experience in property maintenance or facilities management.
- Knowledge of school operations and the ability to work flexible hours.
- Experience with health and safety training or certification.
- A commitment to child safety and safeguarding.
