Sixth Form Administrator needed to support attendance, pastoral care, and administration in a successful school.

The Opportunity:

As a Sixth Form Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations and well-being of students in Year 12 and 13. You will contribute to maintaining high attendance rates, managing student records, and providing pastoral support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record daily attendance for Year 12 and 13 students.
  • Contact parents and carers to investigate and resolve student absences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records using the school's software (SIMS).
  • Supervise the sixth form private study room to ensure a productive environment.
  • Support individual students with attendance, organisation, and pastoral needs.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to sixth form operations.
  • Collaborate with the sixth form team to ensure smooth running of the department.
  • Provide a friendly and supportive presence to students in need.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including the possibility of a 9am start.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or sixth form setting.
  • Experience with SIMS or similar school management software.
  • Knowledge of pastoral support and student welfare practices.
  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
