The Opportunity:
As a Sixth Form Learning Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the academic and pastoral needs of students in the Sixth Form. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a department that is both successful and highly motivated, with a strong focus on student achievement and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the academic and pastoral development of Sixth Form students
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student learning and engagement
- Monitor and report on student progress and behavior
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students in a supportive and structured environment
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of Sixth Form events and activities
- Maintain open communication with parents and carers
- Assist in the management of student records and data
- Promote a culture of high achievement and personal responsibility
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a pastoral or academic support role within a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with students in the 16–18 age range
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in a Sixth Form or similar department
- Knowledge of curriculum and assessment requirements for A-levels and equivalent qualifications
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs
- Familiarity with the use of school management systems and software
