The Opportunity:

As a Sixth Form Learning Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the academic and pastoral needs of students in the Sixth Form. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a department that is both successful and highly motivated, with a strong focus on student achievement and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the academic and pastoral development of Sixth Form students
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student learning and engagement
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavior
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students in a supportive and structured environment
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of Sixth Form events and activities
  • Maintain open communication with parents and carers
  • Assist in the management of student records and data
  • Promote a culture of high achievement and personal responsibility

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a pastoral or academic support role within a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with students in the 16–18 age range
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in a Sixth Form or similar department
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment requirements for A-levels and equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs
  • Familiarity with the use of school management systems and software
