Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to enhance teaching and learning.
- Support the school's mission by fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities and personal development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay up to date with developments in the Sociology curriculum and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Sociology or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching Sociology at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of current issues in Sociology and the ability to relate them to real-world contexts.
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
