The Opportunity:
As a Spanish Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality language education and supporting the continued growth of the MFL Department. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Support the expansion of the Spanish curriculum and enhance student uptake and achievement.
- Collaborate with experienced Foreign Language Assistants to enrich the learning experience.
- Contribute to departmental planning and the development of teaching resources.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
- Promote international links and events across the curriculum.
- Work closely with the Head of Department and other professionals to ensure continued improvement in student outcomes.
- Maintain a well-resourced and innovative subject area with modern teaching facilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Spanish at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and a passion for language education.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive and professional team.
- Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and managing a classroom effectively.
Preferred
- Experience in teacher training or mentoring.
- Background in working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
- Familiarity with international curriculum links and events.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or other languages.
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes in MFL.
