The Opportunity:

As a Spanish Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality language education and supporting the continued growth of the MFL Department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Support the expansion of the Spanish curriculum and enhance student uptake and achievement.
  • Collaborate with experienced Foreign Language Assistants to enrich the learning experience.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and the development of teaching resources.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote international links and events across the curriculum.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department and other professionals to ensure continued improvement in student outcomes.
  • Maintain a well-resourced and innovative subject area with modern teaching facilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Spanish at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and a passion for language education.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive and professional team.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and managing a classroom effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in teacher training or mentoring.
  • Background in working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
  • Familiarity with international curriculum links and events.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or other languages.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes in MFL.
