Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons that engage students and encourage active participation.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student learning and progression.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the success of the Languages Department.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals and preparing for examinations.
- Stay up to date with developments in language education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.
- Promote the value of language learning and encourage students to explore cultural connections.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Spanish or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity, respect, and excellence.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Spanish at a secondary level.
- ECT (Early Career Teacher) status or willingness to develop as a teacher.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
