Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons that engage students and encourage active participation.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student learning and progression.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the success of the Languages Department.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals and preparing for examinations.
  • Stay up to date with developments in language education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.
  • Promote the value of language learning and encourage students to explore cultural connections.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Spanish or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity, respect, and excellence.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Spanish at a secondary level.
  • ECT (Early Career Teacher) status or willingness to develop as a teacher.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
