The Opportunity:
A Spanish Teacher is needed to join a dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Department. This role involves teaching Spanish to students across Key Stages 3 to 5, with a focus on inspiring and engaging learners. The position is part-time, offering a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons to students of all abilities across Key Stages 3 to 5
- Plan and implement an engaging and effective curriculum that reflects current teaching practices
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and support the school’s extra-curricular programme
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement
- Contribute to the development of the school’s co-curricular activities and wider educational initiatives
- Support the school’s ethos and commitment to raising academic standards and student well-being
- Reflect on and improve teaching methods through continuous professional development
- Engage with students and parents to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the appropriate age range and subject
- Proven experience teaching Spanish to students across Key Stages 3 to 5
- Strong ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular activities
Preferred
- Experience with innovative and flexible curriculum delivery
- Familiarity with teaching Spanish as a second language
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a co-educational or independent school setting
