The Opportunity:

A Spanish Teacher is needed to join a dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Department. This role involves teaching Spanish to students across Key Stages 3 to 5, with a focus on inspiring and engaging learners. The position is part-time, offering a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons to students of all abilities across Key Stages 3 to 5
  • Plan and implement an engaging and effective curriculum that reflects current teaching practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and support the school’s extra-curricular programme
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s co-curricular activities and wider educational initiatives
  • Support the school’s ethos and commitment to raising academic standards and student well-being
  • Reflect on and improve teaching methods through continuous professional development
  • Engage with students and parents to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the appropriate age range and subject
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish to students across Key Stages 3 to 5
  • Strong ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular activities

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative and flexible curriculum delivery
  • Familiarity with teaching Spanish as a second language
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a co-educational or independent school setting
