The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our Modern Languages Faculty on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a successful department and support students in achieving academic success across key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons across Key Stage 3 and potentially Key Stage 4.
  • Develop engaging and innovative teaching resources that support student learning and progression.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Modern Languages Faculty to share best practices and support student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Spanish.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 4 (GCSE level).
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices.
  • Previous experience within a collaborative school environment.
