The Opportunity:

As a Spanish Teacher, you will inspire students across Primary and Secondary levels to develop language skills in a dynamic, inquiry-driven environment. This role offers the chance to shape a growing curriculum and work in a school that values innovation, wellbeing, and international-mindedness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme and primary curriculum.
  • Design and implement concept-based, inquiry-driven learning experiences that promote critical thinking and real-world language use.
  • Foster student independence and creativity through a constructivist teaching approach.
  • Track and maintain accurate assessment data to support student progress and inform teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development.
  • Contribute to weekly planning sessions and MYP curriculum development.
  • Support a school culture rooted in kindness, curiosity, and global citizenship.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a degree in education or a related subject.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Experience teaching Primary and/or Key Stage 3 students.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and progressive educational practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Background in constructivist or inquiry-based teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with outdoor or experiential learning environments.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and permanent contract with a 4-month probationary period.
  • Flexible working hours with 12 hours teaching, 3 hours planning, and 1.5 hours meetings per week.
