The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring and adaptable Spanish Teacher (Secondary) with German or French to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Differentiate Spanish (and German or French) lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and levels of knowledge.
- Create engaging, stimulating, and relevant learning experiences that inspire a love of language and learning.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school curriculum and policies.
- Foster a secure and respectful learning environment where students feel safe to explore and take risks.
- Promote the school’s mission and actively model the IB learner profile attributes.
- Support students in developing independent learning skills and a lifelong passion for learning.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and use evidence-based teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes.
- Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on teaching practice to drive improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Secondary Education with a teaching qualification for Spanish and German (GAL) or French.
- At least two years of teaching experience, ideally in an IB school.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver effective lessons that meet diverse student needs.
- Strong commitment to the IB mission and learner profile.
Preferred
- Experience using technology to enhance student learning.
- Fluency in German or French in addition to Spanish.
- Experience in an international school setting or with diverse student populations.
