Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualised teaching plans tailored to the specific needs of students with complex learning difficulties.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Create engaging and inclusive learning environments that promote student motivation and participation.
  • Implement strategies to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participate in staff development and training to enhance teaching practices.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all students in line with safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEND education principles and practices.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with complex learning difficulties.
  • Familiarity with Education, Healthcare Plans (EHCP).
  • Experience in developing and implementing individualised learning strategies.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
