Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualised teaching plans tailored to the specific needs of students with complex learning difficulties.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and well-being.
- Monitor and assess student performance, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
- Create engaging and inclusive learning environments that promote student motivation and participation.
- Implement strategies to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in staff development and training to enhance teaching practices.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all students in line with safeguarding policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEND education principles and practices.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with complex learning difficulties.
- Familiarity with Education, Healthcare Plans (EHCP).
- Experience in developing and implementing individualised learning strategies.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
