Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to pupils’ individual needs
- Plan, teach and review lessons that meet the learning needs of all pupils
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to the development of teaching practice across the school
- Take an active role in the day-to-day life and ongoing development of the school
- Work effectively with internal and external professionals and agencies
- Contribute to self-evaluation and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher eligible to work in the UK
- Strong classroom practice and the ability to work confidently in a specialist SEN setting
- Experience of working with pupils with severe, profound and/or complex learning difficulties, including communication needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, families and professionals
Preferred
- Experience in a special school or specialist provision
