Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to pupils’ individual needs
  • Plan, teach and review lessons that meet the learning needs of all pupils
  • Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of teaching practice across the school
  • Take an active role in the day-to-day life and ongoing development of the school
  • Work effectively with internal and external professionals and agencies
  • Contribute to self-evaluation and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher eligible to work in the UK
  • Strong classroom practice and the ability to work confidently in a specialist SEN setting
  • Experience of working with pupils with severe, profound and/or complex learning difficulties, including communication needs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, families and professionals

Preferred

  • Experience in a special school or specialist provision
