Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualised lessons that meet the unique needs of pupils
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with families and external agencies to support student progress
- Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and improvement journey
- Lead by example through innovative and effective teaching practices
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and professional development
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in special needs education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Experience working with children with communication, severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties
- Commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
Preferred
- Experience in developing and implementing bespoke curricula
- Familiarity with SEN frameworks and best practices
- Experience with behaviour management strategies in a special needs setting
- Knowledge of assistive technology and its use in education
- Experience in collaborative working with external agencies
