Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualised lessons that meet the unique needs of pupils
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with families and external agencies to support student progress
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and improvement journey
  • Lead by example through innovative and effective teaching practices
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and professional development
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in special needs education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Experience working with children with communication, severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties
  • Commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing bespoke curricula
  • Familiarity with SEN frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies in a special needs setting
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and its use in education
  • Experience in collaborative working with external agencies
