The Opportunity:

As a Special Needs Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering Restorative Education to vulnerable children. You will create a safe, supportive learning environment and help students achieve their full potential through engaging and relevant lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, challenging, and relevant to students' lives.
  • Monitor and track student progress regularly, ensuring they meet or exceed learning targets.
  • Collaborate closely with Lead Teachers and Headteachers to support student development.
  • Create a positive and organised classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
  • Set challenging learning objectives that develop literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Model positivity, enthusiasm, and commitment in all interactions with students.
  • Provide regular feedback and support to students to help them reach their goals.
  • Stay informed and up-to-date with best practices in special needs education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Education or a Bachelors Degree (at least 2:2)
  • Valid Right To Work in the UK
  • Full UK Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
  • Extensive experience working with Ofsted

Preferred

  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviours
  • Experience in Restorative Education or similar programmes
