The Opportunity:
As a Special Needs Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering Restorative Education to vulnerable children. You will create a safe, supportive learning environment and help students achieve their full potential through engaging and relevant lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, challenging, and relevant to students' lives.
- Monitor and track student progress regularly, ensuring they meet or exceed learning targets.
- Collaborate closely with Lead Teachers and Headteachers to support student development.
- Create a positive and organised classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
- Set challenging learning objectives that develop literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Model positivity, enthusiasm, and commitment in all interactions with students.
- Provide regular feedback and support to students to help them reach their goals.
- Stay informed and up-to-date with best practices in special needs education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education or a Bachelors Degree (at least 2:2)
- Valid Right To Work in the UK
- Full UK Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
- Extensive experience working with Ofsted
Preferred
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviours
- Experience in Restorative Education or similar programmes
