The Opportunity:

As a Specialist Provision Leader, you will lead a unique and growing provision that supports children with complex SEND. This role offers the chance to shape curriculum, inspire a team, and make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and family support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a specialist provision that meets the needs of children with complex SEND.
  • Manage and support a team of LSAs, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality therapeutic and educational input from external specialists.
  • Oversee assessment and progress tracking, ensuring each child’s development is celebrated and accelerated.
  • Lead Annual Reviews and contribute to long-term outcomes for children with EHCPs.
  • Work closely with parents, professionals, and external agencies to support student needs.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the provision.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with significant experience in SEND education.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery for children with complex needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, professionals, and LSAs.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to child-centred, evidence-informed practice.

Preferred

  • SENCO qualification or willingness to pursue it.
  • Experience in leading and shaping specialist provision.
  • Knowledge of assessment and progress tracking for children with EHCPs.
  • Experience in Annual Reviews and long-term outcome planning.
  • Passion for professional development and continuous learning.
