The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Specialist Science Teacher KS3-KS5 to support the delivery of Science education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including preparation for GCSE and/or IGCSE Science. This is a great opportunity to shape Science teaching and contribute to the growth of a dynamic international school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured and challenging Science lessons that develop pupils’ scientific knowledge and skills.
  • Prepare pupils for GCSE and/or IGCSE Science through high-quality, curriculum-aligned teaching.
  • Support practical, enquiry-based and investigative Science learning.
  • Use assessment data effectively to track progress and inform lesson planning.
  • Contribute to the development of Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and engagement.
  • Participate in school events, clubs and activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality Science education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification, such as QTS or PGCE.
  • A relevant degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science within a British curriculum setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence in teaching GCSE and/or IGCSE Science.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing and high academic standards.
  • A reflective, collaborative and professional approach.

Preferred

  • Experience with IGCSE specifications such as Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel or OxfordAQA.
