The Opportunity:
A Speech and Language Pathologist K-12 is needed to provide essential support to students across all grade levels. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to address speech and language needs through evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student growth and committed to collaboration and professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with student needs and school goals.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide clear, actionable reports to support student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student growth and development.
- Provide coaching and consultation to enhance classroom communication practices and support student learning.
- Participate in SST meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and safeguarding policies.
- Apply knowledge of second language acquisition and cultural-linguistic diversity in practice.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and development to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Master's in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related fields.
- Undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and/or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an accredited school.
- Valid SLP credential or license.
Preferred
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with MTSS and tiered support systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring.
