Speech and Language Therapist Band 5 or 6 – Join a growing service supporting autistic students.

The Opportunity:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic students aged 3-19. You will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver innovative and neurodiversity-affirming therapy, while building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Support students in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and wellbeing
- Train and upskill education professionals in neuro-affirming communication strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create meaningful outcomes
- Embed communication and interaction opportunities across school environments
- Manage your own caseload with supervision from senior therapists
- Work creatively and collaboratively using extensive resources and expert support
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in speech and language therapy
- Experience working with autistic students or individuals with complex communication needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practices
Preferred
- Experience with early years or specialist classroom settings
- Experience in delivering training to education professionals
- Knowledge of sensory and therapeutic interventions
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Experience with the National Autistic Society standards
