The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Work collaboratively with the education team to support pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs.
- Maintain a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with the support of a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
- Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
- Follow the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working to ensure consistent and high-quality practice.
- Engage with families, carers, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
- Stay up to date with legislation and best practices in Speech and Language Therapy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Relevant experience working with individuals with complex communication needs.
- Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working in a range of settings.
- Experience of communicating with families, carers, and other professionals.
- Good relationship building, analytical, and judgmental skills.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Competent in core areas of Speech and Language Therapy practice.
- Understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards.
- Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Understanding of sensory and motor differences that may impact communication.
- Knowledge of the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
- Full driving license and access to a car.
