Summary:

Speech and Language Therapist needed for a new school opening in November 2025.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential through individualised support and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to students with autism
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student development
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to student needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to the therapy team
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support across all environments
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide therapeutic strategies
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and interventions
  • Stay up to date with current best practices and research in speech and language therapy

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with relevant experience
  • Experience working with children and young people with autism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in a special needs or educational setting
  • Knowledge of educational frameworks and curriculum development
  • Experience with individualised learning and therapeutic based programmes
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time within term-time
