As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential through individualised support and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to students with autism
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student development
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to the therapy team
- Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support across all environments
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide therapeutic strategies
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and interventions
- Stay up to date with current best practices and research in speech and language therapy
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with relevant experience
- Experience working with children and young people with autism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience in a special needs or educational setting
- Knowledge of educational frameworks and curriculum development
- Experience with individualised learning and therapeutic based programmes
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time within term-time
