The Opportunity:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will support students with communication needs and work closely with teaching staff to create impactful intervention plans. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bespoke assessments and intervention plans in collaboration with teaching staff
- Manage a small caseload of pupils with speech and language needs
- Provide training, consultation, and reflective practice support to staff
- Work closely with the Clinical Lead and SENCo to ensure consistent support
- Develop and implement strategies to improve communication outcomes for students
- Maintain accurate records and report progress regularly
- Stay up to date with best practices in speech and language therapy
- Contribute to the development of a communication-friendly environment across the school
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
- Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent
- Completed SALT NPQ Status
- Experience working with students with ASC and SEMH needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in educational settings
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of specialist support strategies for speech and language development
- Experience with assessment and intervention planning
