The Opportunity:

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will support students with communication needs and work closely with teaching staff to create impactful intervention plans. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke assessments and intervention plans in collaboration with teaching staff
  • Manage a small caseload of pupils with speech and language needs
  • Provide training, consultation, and reflective practice support to staff
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and SENCo to ensure consistent support
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve communication outcomes for students
  • Maintain accurate records and report progress regularly
  • Stay up to date with best practices in speech and language therapy
  • Contribute to the development of a communication-friendly environment across the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent
  • Completed SALT NPQ Status
  • Experience working with students with ASC and SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in educational settings
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of specialist support strategies for speech and language development
  • Experience with assessment and intervention planning
