The Opportunity:

As a Speech and Language Therapist (Remote), you will deliver essential therapeutic support to a paediatric caseload of students aged 7-19 across the UK. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact through innovative online therapy and collaboration with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and communication assessments and interventions remotely to students with complex needs.
  • Work closely with teaching and inclusion teams to ensure therapeutic practices are embedded across the online learning environment.
  • Provide training and support to staff on moderating the online learning environment and promoting therapeutic culture.
  • Coordinate and plan online sessions, ensuring they meet the specific needs of students with trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and professionals to deliver a cohesive, intensive, and bespoke therapeutic approach.
  • Maintain clinical governance standards while being creative and innovative in delivery methods.
  • Support parents and staff through therapeutic principles and guidance via training and workshops.
  • Ensure detailed and organised documentation of all sessions and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • HCPC registration with a recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree qualification.
  • Substantial demonstrable experience working with vulnerable young people, those with complex mental health needs, and/or challenging behaviours.
  • Strong commitment to therapeutic support and advocacy for young people.
  • Proficient digital skills with the ability to use IT systems effectively in an online school setting.
  • Organised with attention to detail and able to work flexibly and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience in online therapy delivery or remote working environments.
  • Additional professional development accreditations in speech and language therapy.
  • Experience with neurodiverse identities and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA).
  • Ability to provide advice on moderating online learning environments and scaffolding therapeutic understanding.
