The Opportunity:
As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language difficulties. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create individualized therapy plans that support each student’s communication and learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, and communication difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Prepare detailed therapy reports, progress updates, and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records
- Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and student reviews
- Stay current with best practices in speech and language therapy
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy or higher (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid professional license or eligibility for registration with Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Speech Therapist, preferably within a school or special needs environment
- Demonstrated experience in speech and language assessment, therapy planning, and documentation
- Excellent spoken and written English
Preferred
- Proficiency in Arabic
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a passion for working with students of determination
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
