The Opportunity:
A Sports Coach - Football Specialism is sought to inspire and lead students in the Senior School, with opportunities to coach across a range of sports and ages. The role involves engaging students in both performance and participation, with potential involvement in the High Performance Programme and other affiliated schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality practical PE lessons across a range of ages and abilities.
- Coach football and support students in the High Performance Programme.
- Collaborate with other staff to deliver a varied and inclusive sports curriculum.
- Assist with pastoral duties in the boarding houses, where applicable.
- Support students in developing both sporting and life skills.
- Participate in the school's training and development initiatives.
- Work across multiple sites, including Ashfold School, Swanbourne House, and Winchester House Prep School.
- Encourage student engagement and motivation in sports and physical activity.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant coaching qualifications or experience in football.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and abilities.
- Commitment to both performance and participation in sport.
- Willingness to take on pastoral responsibilities where required.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Additional coaching qualifications or experience in other sports.
- Experience working in a boarding environment.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
