The Opportunity:
A Sports Teacher is needed to deliver high-quality sports education and coaching to students aged 3 to 18. This role offers the chance to work in both the Junior and Senior Schools, with opportunities to contribute to academic PE lessons. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sport and committed to developing students’ physical and personal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective sports lessons and coaching sessions to students across all age groups.
- Support the development of individual and team sports performance in football, netball, hockey, cricket, and other sports.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and competitive sporting culture within the school.
- Contribute to the pastoral care and overall well-being of students.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, coaches, and support staff to enhance the school’s sporting program.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of academic PE lessons under the guidance of experienced teachers.
- Encourage a lifelong love of physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant sports degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in coaching or playing sports at a competitive level.
- Ability to teach and coach at least one sport to a high standard.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working with students aged 3 to 18.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching academic PE.
- Background in a sports-related university course or degree.
- Experience in a school or coaching environment.
- Previous experience in pastoral care or student support.
