Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective STEM programs aligned with educational goals
- Deliver engaging and curriculum-based lessons that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Support student growth through personalized learning experiences and mentorship
- Integrate emerging technologies and hands-on learning tools into daily instruction
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of STEM curricula and resources
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent teaching credential
- Minimum of 10 weeks’ practicum experience
- Teacher education/training accepted by Alberta Education
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Proven experience in teaching STEM subjects in an international school setting
Preferred
- Experience with the IB Diploma Programme or Advanced Placement courses
- Familiarity with technologies such as VR Room, robotics, drones, 3D printers, and Micro:bit
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and integrate new teaching methods
