Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor student behavior across the school, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
  • Implement and enforce school policies and procedures related to discipline and conduct.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leadership to maintain consistent behavior standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in developing self-discipline and positive social skills.
  • Conduct regular observations and assessments of student behavior, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams to address behavioral concerns and support student well-being.
  • Deliver training and workshops on behavior management strategies to staff and students.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports on student behavior and interventions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in student behavior management or a related role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging situations and maintaining high standards of discipline.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Training in behavior management or youth work.
  • Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive practices.
  • Knowledge of positive behavior support strategies and restorative practices.
