The Opportunity:

The Swimming Pool Technician will manage the school’s swimming pool, ensuring it is safe, clean, and compliant with all health and safety standards. This role is essential in maintaining a high-quality environment for students and staff, with a focus on daily water checks, chemical management, and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the swimming pool, including daily water checks and chemical monitoring.
  • Purchase and manage pool chemicals in line with safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with COSHH guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any issues promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the pool area.
  • Assist with training and support for other staff on pool safety procedures.
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 Pool Plant Operator Certificate (CIMPSA).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Experience in pool maintenance or a related field.

Preferred

  • First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Experience with water chemistry and pool management systems.
  • Previous experience in an educational or care setting.
