The Opportunity:
The Swimming Pool Technician will manage the school’s swimming pool, ensuring it is safe, clean, and compliant with all health and safety standards. This role is essential in maintaining a high-quality environment for students and staff, with a focus on daily water checks, chemical management, and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the swimming pool, including daily water checks and chemical monitoring.
- Purchase and manage pool chemicals in line with safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with COSHH guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and report any issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the pool area.
- Assist with training and support for other staff on pool safety procedures.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 Pool Plant Operator Certificate (CIMPSA).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
- Experience in pool maintenance or a related field.
Preferred
- First Aid at Work certificate.
- Experience with water chemistry and pool management systems.
- Previous experience in an educational or care setting.
