Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualised lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs.
- Support students in developing their academic, social, and emotional skills.
- Collaborate with psychologists, teaching assistants, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
- Develop and implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive learning outcomes.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of a stimulating and inclusive curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous teaching experience, preferably with students with special educational needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
- Commitment to the holistic development of students
Preferred
- Experience working with students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices
- Experience with behaviour management strategies
