Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualised lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Support students in developing their academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, teaching assistants, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive learning outcomes.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of a stimulating and inclusive curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably with students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
  • Commitment to the holistic development of students

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
