The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Teacher to join our dedicated team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive environment with a strong focus on individualized education and therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Support students with autism in learning activities and personal skills.
- Create medium-term plans and follow schemes of work.
- Take responsibility for a subject or curriculum area.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to improve student outcomes.
- Manage complex behaviors and provide individualized support.
- Contribute to the development of therapeutic and educational programs.
- Work with teaching assistants to ensure a structured and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with students with autism and special needs.
- Ability to plan and deliver structured learning environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality education and support.
Preferred
- Experience in special needs education or autism support.
- Background in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Knowledge of therapeutic and clinical support approaches.
- Experience in creating engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
