Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Support students with ASD in learning activities and personal skills development.
- Create medium-term plans and follow schemes of work to ensure effective teaching.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes.
- Take responsibility for a subject or curriculum area, using your experience and expertise.
- Manage complex behaviours and create a structured learning environment.
- Provide individualised support to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with Autism.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to plan structured learning environments.
- Enthusiasm and energy to engage students in learning.
- Ability to interact effectively with students and colleagues.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in special needs education or teaching English as a Second Language.
- Background in behaviour management and therapeutic support.
- Experience with national curriculum programmes and differentiated teaching.
- Interest in developing expertise in special needs and Autism.
