Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
  • Support students with ASD in learning activities and personal skills development.
  • Create medium-term plans and follow schemes of work to ensure effective teaching.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes.
  • Take responsibility for a subject or curriculum area, using your experience and expertise.
  • Manage complex behaviours and create a structured learning environment.
  • Provide individualised support to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with Autism.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to plan structured learning environments.
  • Enthusiasm and energy to engage students in learning.
  • Ability to interact effectively with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in special needs education or teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in behaviour management and therapeutic support.
  • Experience with national curriculum programmes and differentiated teaching.
  • Interest in developing expertise in special needs and Autism.
