The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a full timetable and support the Co-Curricular Programme by leading at least two activities per week.
- Encourage students to reach their academic potential through enthusiastic and personalised teaching.
- Develop and share schemes of work and resources in line with departmental standards.
- Assist with covering colleagues and support the department during absences.
- Prepare, invigilate, and assess internal and external tests and examinations.
- Show an active interest in students’ personal and domestic circumstances.
- Promote the school’s social, moral, and cultural ethos.
- Ensure compliance with all College policies, including safeguarding and health and safety.
- Foster a close partnership with parents and contribute to the school’s Self Evaluation and Development Plan.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong academic record, including a good degree in a relevant subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Chemistry with a track record of achieving excellent examination results.
- Ability to inspire students and support the school’s values and mission.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including willingness to undergo screening and verification processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading co-curricular activities or extracurricular programmes.
- Familiarity with Cambridge International IGCSE or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience with teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong record in developing and sharing teaching resources and schemes of work.
