Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and innovative computing lessons across the Preparatory School curriculum.
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in students through interactive and challenging teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the development of digital literacy and computational thinking skills in pupils.
  • Support the wider life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Stay up to date with developments in computing education and integrate new technologies into the classroom.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in computing, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching computing at the Preparatory School level.
  • Strong knowledge of computing curriculum and digital literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative computing programs.
  • Familiarity with coding, robotics, or other emerging technologies in education.
  • Experience with teaching in an international or British curriculum setting.
  • Evidence of professional development or leadership in computing education.
