The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Teacher of Early Childhood Development to deliver engaging lessons and support students in the 16-19 age range. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student outcomes and contribute to a school at the forefront of education innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, stimulating lessons in Early Childhood Development to students aged 16-19.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding results and raising aspirations through personalised teaching and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Contribute to the wider college community by participating in staff development, mentoring, and extracurricular activities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Assist with the delivery of Health and Social Care where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Relevant Level 3 teaching qualification or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Health and Social Care.
  • Current undertaking of initial teacher training with demonstrated potential for post-16 teaching.
  • Experience in a values-driven, inclusive educational environment.
  • Demonstrated success in student progression and attainment.
