Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, stimulating lessons in Early Childhood Development to students aged 16-19.
- Support students in achieving outstanding results and raising aspirations through personalised teaching and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Provide pastoral support to students, promoting their academic and personal development.
- Contribute to the wider college community by participating in staff development, mentoring, and extracurricular activities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Assist with the delivery of Health and Social Care where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
- Proven ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant Level 3 teaching qualification or equivalent.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Health and Social Care.
- Current undertaking of initial teacher training with demonstrated potential for post-16 teaching.
- Experience in a values-driven, inclusive educational environment.
- Demonstrated success in student progression and attainment.
