The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Economics, you will play a vital role in a high-performing department that consistently achieves outstanding results. You will contribute to the teaching of Economics across the curriculum, support students in applying to leading universities, and be part of a vibrant and collaborative academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Economics at A-level across the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development of Schemes of Work and create teaching resources for Microsoft OneNote Notebooks and SharePoint.
  • Support students in applications to leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
  • Participate in the school’s pastoral system as a tutor in one of the 16 houses.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through the Games programme or leadership of a school society.
  • Engage in the Masterclass programme, sharing personal academic or cultural interests with students.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Economics at A-level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Experience in contributing to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and student support.
  • Willingness to contribute to co-curricular activities and school life.

Preferred

  • Experience in supporting students applying to top universities.
  • Familiarity with the Edexcel Economics specification.
  • Experience with Oxbridge application processes.
  • Interest in contributing to the Masterclass programme.
  • Experience with leading or participating in school societies or extra-curricular activities.
