The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Electrical Installation to join a dynamic and growing institution. This role involves delivering high-quality education across Levels 1–3, with a focus on practical and theoretical training in electrical installation. The successful candidate will have a real impact on students' futures and contribute to the school's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Levels 1–3 in Electrical Installation Theory and Practice.
  • Manage and deliver Advanced Apprenticeship 5357, 2391 Inspection & Testing, and 2382 18th Edition Wiring Regulations courses.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date course materials and resources.
  • Support students in achieving excellent outcomes and progression opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
  • Stay current with industry standards and developments in electrical installation.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s vocational and technical education programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Electrical Installation.
  • Relevant Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Installation or a related field.
  • Experience in delivering courses at Levels 1–3.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Installation Theory and Practice.
  • Familiarity with 2391 Inspection & Testing and 2382 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a sixth form college or similar institution.
  • Experience with apprenticeship programs.
  • Knowledge of current industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
