Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in both English and Maths tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Support students across the MLD resource and specialist provision, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback to support learning and development.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and progress.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with best practices in SEN education and incorporate these into teaching and support strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in English and Maths.
- Ability to teach across key stages, with a focus on KS3.
- Commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Experience in a specialist provision or resource base setting.
- Background in primary or secondary teaching with a focus on SEN support.
- Experience with curriculum development and differentiated instruction.
